Last week Scottish Engineering member companies, including our founder and CEO Oliver King-Smith, were treated to a morning out in sunny Coatbridge to see and hear the wide variety of engineering that Cairnhill Structures and sister company Watson Towers are working to deliver. From steel bridges to replace essential destroyed infrastructure outside Kyiv in Ukraine to critical assets for UK Nuclear and Defence sectors the breadth of work being carried out is impressive. Brilliant to see that the 150+ year legacy of the historic Sun Works site is as essential now as it has been since its start.
Oliver commented on his adventure, "People don't realize how much engineering and manufacturing occurs in Scotland every day. At Cairnhill Structures they work 24x7x365 days a year to keep specialized steel projects working. You can even see me in the back of the photo!"
